Napoleon and Josephine as Large Chess Pieces

From Napoleon, who stands on his pedestal in his typical pose with his hand inside his coat and the bicorne hat on his head, to Josephine, the generals and the soldiers as pawns, the leaping horses and the rook, these 32 hand-made chess pieces in fine zinc alloy are wonderfully realised. Down to the draping of the clothing, the large chess pieces are fascinatingly detailed and come with a "Made in Italy" certificate. The size of the antique-look silver- and gold-coloured figures is simply perfect for the game of kings and thus makes a wonderful gift for chess players who are also interested in the history of France in the time of Emperor Napoleon. The king figure as Napoleon is 10 cm tall, and the figures of the soldiers as pawns are 8 cm tall. The base of the chess pieces has a diameter of 3.2 cm. These wonderfully worked chess pieces in metal, featuring Napoleon, Josephine and the army, make an instant eye-catcher on any chessboard – which, however, is not included in delivery.

Metal Figures in Napoleon Style for Large Boards

With 32 figures, the set comprises all the pieces for two complete chess sides and draws on motifs from the era of Napoleon and the First French Empire. The large version, with a 10 cm king and a 3.2 cm base, suits correspondingly large chessboards, on which the detailed metal figures come into their own to particularly good effect. Gold and silver finishes clearly distinguish the two sides. As no chessboard is included, the set of figures can be deliberately combined with a board whose square size matches the bases of the figures.
