Mounted motifs from the Western visual world

The horse played an important role for many indigenous peoples of North America – as mount, status symbol and within individual traditions as a spiritually significant animal. The depictions show chiefs and warriors in dynamic riding scenes – from powerfully animated motifs through to quieter scenes that bring the particular bond between rider and animal into the foreground. Alongside smaller-format executions, the range also includes large-format statues that develop a strong spatial presence as standalone pieces.

As collector's figurines, these mounted motifs work particularly well within Western scenes, display cabinets or thematically styled living areas. Through the combination of rider, horse and traditionally inspired depiction, a motif emerges that conveys movement, dignity and prairie atmosphere more strongly than a single standalone figure.

Complementary pieces sit with the Native American Figurines, the Wild West Animal Figurines and the Cowboy Figurines.
