Couple sculptures and classical reproductions
The range brings together two motif groupings: contemporary lover nude figurines and reproductions of classical sculptures. The lover figurines show couples in bronzed depictions of embrace and kiss – quietly and sculpturally designed, with the focus on posture, closeness and bodily line.
Among the classical reproductions sit works after Antonio Canova (Eros and Psyche, Cupid and Psyche), Auguste Rodin (The Kiss), Camille Claudel (The Waltz) and Giambologna (Rape of the Sabine Women) – available in white and bronze finishes. Through the bronzed or white execution, posture, line and the relationship between the two bodies sit in the foreground. As a result, the couple sculptures don't read as decoration alone, but as small art objects for shelf, display cabinet or living space.
