What's the difference between incense sticks and incense cones?
Incense sticks burn evenly and for longer – ideal for extended incense sessions. Cones are more compact, more intense in fragrance and burn through faster. Backflow cones additionally have a central bore through which the smoke flows downwards – they work only in holders specifically designed for them.
Do backflow incense cones work in standard holders?
No – backflow cones require a holder with backflow function and a special opening. In standard cone holders, no mist effect develops. The cones can still be burned, however – the fragrance comes through clearly even without the backflow effect.
How long do incense sticks burn?
Incense sticks at 23 cm in length typically burn for 30 to 45 minutes. The exact burn time depends on the composition and thickness of the stick. Incense cones burn noticeably shorter – usually 15 to 25 minutes.
