Pushead skulls, drinking vessels and accessories with Metallica imagery

The defining feature of the Metallica selection is the skull figurines and trinket boxes in the distinctive Pushead design – large-format collector's pieces that translate the band's brooding visual identity into three dimensions. Alongside these, drinking vessels dominate the range: tankards, goblets and shot glasses with album-cover motifs from Master of Puppets, the Black Album, Sad But True and Creeping Death, every one of them hand-painted and fitted with a removable stainless-steel insert. Necklaces and bracelets featuring Metallica logos in pewter come from Alchemy England, with the recognisable craftsmanship that brand brings to dark fantasy and rock jewellery. Shoulder bags, purses and Christmas tree ornaments round out the selection. Every product is officially licensed merchandise, with the relevant licensing labels integrated into the production.

Pushead and Metallica – the visual identity behind the merchandise

The Pushead skulls that run through the merchandise are the work of American artist Brian Schroeder, known professionally as Pushead. His collaboration with Metallica began in 1986, when the band brought him in to design artwork for the Damage Inc. Tour following the release of Master of Puppets. The fanged skull and spiked bat artwork he delivered slotted perfectly into the hardcore metal image the band was building, and it has remained one of the most fan-favoured Metallica designs ever since. Pushead went on to provide illustrations for the …And Justice for All booklet, the cover for the "One" music video release, and eventually the cover artwork for St. Anger in 2003 – his only full Metallica album cover. His weathered, intricately detailed skulls have shaped the visual identity of Metallica merchandise for nearly four decades, which is exactly why the Pushead figurines and trinket boxes in this range carry the weight of properly considered collector's pieces rather than throwaway fan goods.

Where Metallica merchandise comes into its own

The Pushead skull figurines and trinket boxes read most powerfully as standalone statement pieces – on a console table, sideboard or display shelf, where the carved fang detailing and weathered patina anchor a wider music-themed display. Tankards and goblets work beautifully in home bars, music rooms and reading nooks, where they double as decor and as proper everyday drinking vessels for special occasions. Shot glasses bring the band imagery into themed evenings and pre-gig drinks. Pewter jewellery from Alchemy England carries the band into daily wear, which makes the range as a whole well suited to fans who want to extend their musical identity beyond the home. Several pieces grouped together – a Pushead skull, a Master of Puppets goblet, a logo necklace – read as a properly considered fan display rather than scattered ornaments.
