Body study, classicism and contemporary sculpture

The bulk of the range comes from the Body Talk Collection – a series of bronzed nude figurines that depict the male body in various poses at rest: crouching, squatting, kneeling, reclining, seated or turning. The figurines largely forego narrative detail and place the body itself at the centre as the subject of the work. The series is rounded out by larger standalone pieces, including a crouching male nude as a statue alongside a bronzed male torso as a freestanding decorative sculpture.

Alongside these come figurines with specific motif references: reproductions of Michelangelo's David in white and bronzed, a faun after the Pompeian model, tattooed male figures in modern body poses as well as yoga figures in meditative postures. A large share of the figurines comes from Veronese. Further nude figurines are available under Nude Figurines.

Through the bronzed surface, the male nude figurines read quiet and sculptural, with less colour emphasis than hand-painted decorative figurines. As a result, form, posture and bodily line come more strongly into the foreground – whether as a standalone piece on the shelf, in the display cabinet or as a quiet accent within the living space.
