The CowParade figurine “Sunbather Cow” as a summer-themed artwork

The CowParade began in Zurich in 1998 and soon travelled across the Atlantic to Chicago in 1999. Today, it is recognised as the world’s largest public art project, with more than 10,000 artists creating playful cow designs in cities around the globe.

The original cows are auctioned after each exhibition, with much of the proceeds supporting social causes. From this concept, CowParade collector figurines such as “Sunbather Cow” were created.

Apparently inspired by a healthy lifestyle brochure, this cheerful cow prefers soaking up the sunshine while her friends remain in the shade. Dressed in a stylish swimsuit, relaxing on a deckchair with a beach towel and a good read, “Sunbather Cow” captures the joy of summer perfectly.

Designed by artist Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and exhibited at the CowParade event in Santa Catarina in 2012, this figurine is lovingly hand-painted and crafted from high-quality polyresin. Measuring 12 cm in height, 17.5 cm in width and 8 cm in depth, it comes with an artist information card and original CowParade packaging. A perfect gift for collectors and sun lovers alike.
