Pharaohs as decor
The pharaohs of ancient Egypt were regarded as intermediaries between gods and humans – as sons of the celestial gods who carried out their will on earth. The term "pharaoh" derives from the Egyptian "per aa" (great house) and originally designated the royal palace, not the ruler themselves. This category shows Egyptian royal personalities that don't hold their own dedicated subcategory. Figures with their own categories are Nefertiti and Tutankhamun.
The depiction of Egyptian kings
Egyptian ruler figurines were consistently depicted with characteristic insignia: false beard, double crown, crook and flail as signs of divine sovereignty. Further Egyptian figurines are available under Egyptian Figurines.
