An Earth Goddess with Globe, Sun and Moon

In Greek mythology, Gaia is the primordial mother of the earth and the mother of the Titans and of numerous divine beings, of the mountains, the rivers and the sea. This wonderful figurine of "Ethereal Gaia" shows her sitting on the ground with a gentle smile, lovingly cradling her pregnant belly in the form of the globe. Her long braided hair, which looks as though it were made of leaves, reaches down to the ground. One breast shows the moon, while the sun shines on the other. Down to the green colour of the earth as her pregnant belly, this otherwise wonderfully restrained, medium-sized figurine also owes its wonderfully noble appearance to the fine bronzing.

The 17 cm tall, 13 cm wide and 11 cm deep "Ethereal Gaia figurine" by Nemesis Now is made of high-quality polyresin and comes with an attractively printed gift box. This medium-sized Mother Earth figurine therefore makes a special gift for anyone fascinated by the mythology of ancient Greece, and for all those who believe in the power and natural force of the primordial mother Gaia.

Gaia, Gaea and Ge – Names of the Earth Goddess

Gaia is also known by the name forms Gaea and Ge. The ancient Greek word gē for "earth" is likewise related to the word-forming element geo-, which appears in terms such as geography and geology. The sculpture thus combines a motif from Greek mythology with a linguistic link to the earth that is still familiar today.
