Achilles Pewter Figurine: Warrior with Sword and Shield

The hand-painted miniature from the Studio Collection by Veronese shows Achilles ready for battle, in a warrior's armour with a flowing cloak, raised shield and his sword, standing upon a rock. The detailed bronze pewter figurine is 11 cm tall, 8 cm wide and 5 cm deep and will delight not only collectors of pewter figurines, but also makes a stylish gift for collectors, mythology fans and history enthusiasts. For Achilles is famous not only for his story as the almost invulnerable hero of the Trojan War, but is still regarded today as one of the greatest heroes of antiquity from Homer's Iliad. The ancient Greeks revered him as godlike for his fighting prowess, his beauty, his loyalty and his courage. His battle against Hector, who had killed his friend Patroclus, is especially famous. Later, Achilles himself was struck by Paris with a poisoned arrow at his one vulnerable spot – the heel, still known today through the proverbial term “Achilles heel”.

Bronze Achilles Figurine as an Ancient Warrior

The warm bronze tone gives this version an earthy, antique feel that suits classic interiors and dark wood. As an Achilles figurine with sword and shield, the miniature captures one of the most famous warriors of the Trojan War. At 11 cm tall, the Achilles warrior figurine finds its place on a desk, in a study or in a display cabinet of mythological miniatures – becoming an expressive piece of mythology décor.
